

Our tech program is amazing and some of my closest friends have gotten apprenticeships, full careers, and even college fully paid for through it! I discovered that I was good at working with metal and now I love doing metal work as a hobby on the side! Overall I enjoyed my experiences with the district and the teaching staff is mostly the reason why I did. I loved the atmosphere there when I first walked in freshman year and I have continued to love it through sports and classes. The highschool is probably the place where I have made some of my best memories. I would definitely like to see some improvement there, staff wise mostly. Middle school was rough, but it is for everyone. I'm proud to be called a Greendale Panther!. I feel blessed to be apart of a school that is committed to their students and cares for their "children" as if it were their own. Opportunities to connect with others, be involved in extracurriculars, and receiving additional resources to make sure you are successful are always available. If there is a problem, the staff is more than willing try their best to seek help, find solutions, and create improvement for you. Your concerns and voices are heard in a very real way. There is a place for everyone in our school and district it's is clearly demonstrated in our students and staff. Being a part of a smaller district and school, there is undoubtedly more time to learn, grow, and understand each other on a one on one level. I'm respected by my peers and teachers that are always willing to help in my times of need. Junior: It's a place where I feel safe and welcomed, ready to learn on any given day. Other than that, I am proud to be a Highlander at Homestead High School. There are multiple cases in which students are being bullied for their beliefs and identity and the administration doesn't do as much as they're supposed to honor those victimized of bullying at school. It's a great academic environment to be in however, there isn't enough attention being brought to students' culture and safety. Homestead also provides an "AVID" class which is dedicated to college preparation, being extremely effective to developing organization and skills needed for the future. The teachers at Homestead ensure that we are learning in a way that helps everyone understand and feel comfortable with what they are doing. The AP program and class offerings at this school is diverse. I am currently involved in a lot of medical and health-related classes at school.

In terms of academics, there is a wide variety of classes that fit your interests. Junior: Homestead was and is an overall great school.
